Unpaid renters’ wastewater bills leaving Norfolk short 100-thousand dollars

We’d all like our property taxes to drop or at least be frozen in a perfect world, which this is not.

However, Norfolk councillors were looking for possible areas of saving at a special meeting last night, some 15 programs and services offered by the county.

And one area where the county’s bleeding bucks is unpaid wastewater bills from apartment renters–100-thousand dollars worth.

Meanwhile, councillors also discussed the possibility of selling some parkland and boosting user fees for use of certainly county-owned facilities, to better reflect the true cost of  the service.
