A Great Pyrenees husky mix with blue eyes captivated the crowds at the annual Windmill City Festival’s Pet Parade in Batavia on Saturday morning.

Tizzy, 8, received a standing ovation when he strutted to the front of the main stage and, in “dog speak,” vocalized his version of “I love you” for his audience.

“Tizzy commands attention wherever he goes,” owner Jen Haas said.

The event was one of several that made up the 3 1/2 -day festival, which drew throngs to the Batavia Riverwalk. In addition to the pet parade, fest staples include an ice cream-eating contest, a touch-a-truck exhibit, musical performances at the Peg Bond Performing Arts Pavilion and carnival rides on Houston Street in downtown Batavia.
