Children came face-to-face with some unusual pets at the Orchard Vale play day in Midsomer Norton.

Organised by the Waynsdyke Play Association, the day of fun and games was held to give people the chance to find out more about activities on offer for children across the district.

Children enjoyed sports, messy fun with pink gloop, an egg hunt, parachutes and hot chocolate on a real fire kelly kettle out in the park before they were joined by residents Clayton and Ann Davis who brought their pet rats and snakes for the children to meet.

The play association runs holiday playschemes and provides community play rangers to support play in parks and community venues across Bath and North East Somerset.
