TUCSON- A Tucson author is hoping to uplift the rodent’s reputation.

Ryn Gargulinski, author, is turning phrases like “smells a rat,” and “I could give a rat’s butt,” into something a little more friendly in her new book, “Rats Incredible.”

The book depicts rats as intelligent, talented and lovable creatures.

Gargulinski started her journalism career in 1991, but her rat owner career began even earlier. She and her pet rats have won awards and merited mention in The Wall Street Journal.
