LOS ANGELES, Jun 06, 2013 (BUSINESS WIRE) —
Evolve Media’s CraveOnline Media (www.craveonline.com),
the largest online male lifestyle publisher, announced today its
upcoming plans for an all new online and offline destination surrounding
E3 2013: Crave Invasion, sponsored by TNT’s Falling Skies,
located just outside of the Los Angeles Convention Center from June
11-13, 2013. This is the first event to kick off CraveOnline’s
partnership with Falling Skies, which will continue with a
Comic-Con event in July.

Carrying on its successful three-year run at E3–including 2011’s world
record-breaking event–CraveOnline returns to its location at the
intersection of 12th and Figueroa, just across the street
from the West Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center. Providing
guests with a custom sci-fi experience, the Crave Invasion tent will be
open to the public from 10am to 8pm daily.

Upon entering the tent, attendees will immediately be immersed into the
post-apocalyptic world of Falling Skies. Crave “Invaders” can
make use of the “Alien Invasion” green screen photo booth, which
produces photos that are both instantly printable and socially sharable.
The images will also be gathered into a mosaic and featured on a giant
80-inch monitor inside the tent. Images will be featured on TNT’s Falling
Skies website (http://fallingskies.com),
as well.

Meanwhile, the “Alien Refuge” charging station provides an
answer to low battery life with multiple units to charge all kinds of
mobile devices. While waiting, guests have a plethora of entertainment
options, starting with the GameRevolution Gaming Lounge, where they can
battle it out to a variety of games. However, if it’s more Falling
Skies they crave, the charging station provides two large TVs
featuring the show’s season three trailer, as well as six iPADs loaded
with the Falling Skies app.

To keep the invasion energy high, DJs will be spinning tunes outside
where attendees can purchase food from a variety of LA’s well-known food
trucks. Also present will be the ever-popular CraveOnline Girls, who
will have transformed into post-alien invasion babes. While at the tent,
participants are encouraged to enter the Crave Invasion raffle for a
chance to win prizes such as Falling Skies swag, gift cards, or
free lunches from the event’s participating food trucks.

For users at home, all of the action from E3 and Crave Invasion will be
brought back to the Falling Skies and TNT branded custom
destination, running on CraveOnline, GameRevolution, and Destructoid.
The CraveOnline on-site content team–consisting of over fifteen
editors–will be reporting live updates from E3, touting the biggest
highlights from the convention, while Crave hosts will share the latest
news from inside the Crave Invasion tent. The online destination will
house event videos, photos, all of CraveOnline’s social media updates,
and more!

“TNT’s hit sci-fi show, Falling Skies, and CraveOnline, a leading male
digital destination, make a perfect partnership and will invade E3 with
the unique combination of delivering an engaging onsite experience and
Alien Refuge for fans and new recruits,” said Tricia Melton, Senior Vice
President of Turner Entertainment Marketing.

“As the authority in online male publishing, we are pleased to
deliver–for the third year in a row–a multi-platform experience unlike
any other. Crave Invasion captures the excitement around E3, while
connecting young men across the country to this iconic event,” said Mike
Bender, Senior Vice President of CraveOnline Media. “Partnering with
TNT’s Falling Skies–a hit show that is known for its loyal fan
base–has proven to be an amazing collaboration resulting in an online
and offline event that is certain to entertain our collective fan base.”

About TNT’s Falling Skies

Falling Skies, which is slated to launch its third season Sunday,
June 9, tells the extraordinary story about life and survival in the
wake of a catastrophic alien invasion. Noah Wyle stars as a
college professor who becomes an unlikely resistance leader in this
gripping series from DreamWorks Television and executive producer Steven
Spielberg. Moon Bloodgood, Will Patton, Drew Roy,
Maxim Knight and Connor Jessup also star. In the third
season of Falling Skies, Gloria Reuben is set to
guest-star in a multiple-episode arc as Marina Perlata, an aide to
Wyle’s Tom Mason. In addition, Robert Sean Leonard is slated to
guest-star as Roger Kadar, an obsessive but gifted scientist who runs
the local power grid and lives underground with his pet rats, earning
him the nickname “The Rat King.” Last year, Falling Skies
ranked as basic cable’s #1 summer drama among key demos. In addition to
Spielberg, Falling Skies is executive-produced by DreamWorks
Television heads Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank. Remi
Aubuchon and Greg Beeman also serve as executive producers.
