Do boy rats have a musky smell? I'm wondering because my boys seem to have a slight musky scent to them. I've bathed them twice since I brought them home, but I still smell it a little.
Poppy & Pepper were in cedar chips at Pets Plus... (terrible I know!) they stunk like cedar for a few weeks. But the boys were in carefresh.

Yes they do...they smell totally different than girls.

Hehe, so sort of like ferrets- ferrets have a musky odor too. 
I have the boys together in the cage right now- but they've already got into one fight already. I'll see how they do... I may have to separate them when I go to sleep.

It may take some time for them to get used to one another, they did live apart after all for who knows how long.

I know. They are definitely getting A LOT better with me! Sage is starting to come around. And they aren't quite as jumpy when I pick them up. They've been here a week now.
