About the Author
Julie Mancini has authored numerous books and magazine and online articles, with animals as her primary focus. Pets have been an important part of her life since she was a child. Her first pet was a parakeet named Charlie, and since then, Julie has had many companion animals. Julie has been a freelance writer for the past 10 years. She and her husband currently live on a small farm in south-central Iowa, where they plan to raise alpacas.
